Fourteen in Indiana

We finally did a little boxing this weekend. Horray! We have not really had a chance to do much this year, as we have been pretty busy, so we were both very pleased to actually go out and box. We were visiting our friends J & S in South Bend so we hit Plymouth, Indiana and picked up 14 boxes with them. That sounds more impressive than it was, as one was a series of 8 and another was a series of 3... but still! (See our list of finds here.)

Every stamp we found was beautifully carved and the boxes all well maintained. The hikes were very short (especially for Dem Bones, which was in a cemetary. It was really more of a pleasant afternoon stroll, not a hike.). The five that we found in Centennial Park were a little more widely spaced, but the mosquitoes were so thick and HUNGRY that we were 'power' boxing through the park and skipped a few because we were being eaten alive. :-) We thought the two Texas themed boxes were very appropriate, as J & S will be moving to Fort Worth soon. So look out for J&B's Texas boxing adventures, sometime this fall!

An update on our first plant

J and B headed out today to replace the logbook on our very first box, A Rose By Any Other Name. We were very pleased to find that after nearly two whole years, the stamp stills looks great. Gotta love those lock-n-lock boxes! So we replaced the (very) full logbook and brought the old one home. It was so much fun to see all the stamps in there! A lot of letterboxers we knew, but quite a few we didn't. We even had somebody from Rhose Island stamp in. It was very rewarding to see all those 'boxers who enjoyed our first plant.

Also, thank you to all the people who kindly have replaced baggies, etc. on the box. Boxers are great!
