Letterboxing in Ann Arbor
When we first started boxing -- oh so long ago (June of ’05!) -- we were disappointed by how few letterboxes were in our town, Ann Arbor. At the time, there was just Mystery Cabin, Go Blue!, Northeast Ann Arbor, and Buried Treasure (on the AA/Ypsi border). Not knocking these boxes (Go Blue! is one of our all-time faves) but we would be so jealous when we looked on the map and saw 20 or 30 in ‘boxing hotspots like Kalamazoo or Muskegon. “How come they get all the letterboxes?” we would grumble to ourselves, and then jump in the car for a two-hour drive to go boxing.
But now! Look! In the last two months, Ann Arbor has had NINE more boxes added to its parks and trails. So many were added in such a short amount of time, that we are actually behind on our “backyard boxing” because we were too busy driving all over the state to get the ones just across town! We are thrilled that letterboxing seems to be growing in Ann Arbor. So, here is a complete list of all the “new” boxes in Ann Arbor... and hopefully many more will be added!

As has been said elsewhere, "If you plant them, they will come".
And it does seem to pan out.
Go Ann Arbor!
